INTRO TO DESIGN HISTORY

FALL 2021

A semester-long class, Intro to Design History was focused on the design movements, designers, and design concepts of the past. We learned the importance of history in design, as well as how to research design past in a comprehendible and educational way.

Ann Lowe Research Project

This research project was presented as a way to get to know important designers that are not represented in most design history references.

Design History Final

In place of a final project, we had to make a piece of media that describes how the class impacted your idea of design. I focused on analyzing how specific designs represent various movements in design history.
