A five-week session, Design Studio II.II was a crash course on craftsmanship and ideation in 3-D design.
Cube Exercise
We were tasked with making a perfect 6x6x6 cube out of 1/4" thick foam core
Kids Food Tray Sketch
Utilizing an "additive" method of building, we had to design a kids food tray with 3 compartments
Bat Food Tray
The final food tray made out of the required white foam core, hot glue, and wire
Alice in Wonderland Orthographic Sketch
For our final project, we had to make a 1/4 scale chair inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Here I sketched out a life-sized model and made sure the proportions were correct.
Queen of Hearts Throne
I ended up making the chair centered around the Queen of Hearts. The main body of the chair is made out of foam and made to represent her collar. The legs are wooden dowels and the crown is cardstock.
